Our qualification will help you build on the skills and experience you already possess, and will give you the chance to obtain a competency card to open up job opportunities in your chosen sector.
This qualification will enable you to prove your expertise in using a pole pruner, and will also provide firm evidence of your ability to meet licence-to-practise standards.
Once you have successfully carried out this course you will receive a LANTRA certificate of training in Powered Poler Pruners.

If you are over the age of 16 and wish to develop your knowledge, understanding, and skills and require proof of competence within your field of expertise then this course is suitable for you.
You will also hold hold units 201, 202 Chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting. (if not contact us to discuss options.)

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
- Clothing-to suit weather conditions with high flexibility.
- Chainsaw Combination Helmet (EN 397 or EN 12492)
- Chainsaw Trousers (EN 380-5. Minimum protection Type A-Class 1-20m/s) (Get Type C if you intend to progress to Chainsaw from Rope & Harness)
- Gloves appropriate to the task
- Chainsaw Protective Boots (BS EN ISO 20345: 2004-EN 381-3)
- Personal first aid kit, including a large wound dressing.
PPE must be CE Marked with chainsaw logo, in good condition and undamaged.
