Carry out Maintenance of Chainsaw and Cutting System
- Workshop Safety Awareness.
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Saw chain maintenance
- Guide bar maintenance
- Drive sprocket and reassembly
- Power unit maintenance

- Fueling/oiling
- Health and safety features
Cross-cut Timber Using a Chainsaw
- Work safely.
- Cross-cut timber using a chainsaw.
- Stacking timber
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
- Clothing-to suit weather conditions with high flexibility.
- Chainsaw Combination Helmet (EN 397 or EN 12492)
- Chainsaw Trousers (EN 380-5. Minimum protection Type A-Class 1-20m/s) (Get Type C if you intend to progress to Chainsaw from Rope & Harness)
- Gloves appropriate to the task
- Chainsaw Protective Boots (BS EN ISO 20345: 2004-EN 381-3)
- Personal first aid kit, including a large wound dressing.
PPE must be CE Marked with chainsaw logo, in good condition and undamaged.
