Prerequisites:You must have completed a Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross-cutting, Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm course before attending the refresher (NPTC 201 & 202)

This is a LANTRA integrated assessed course.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

  • Clothing-to suit weather conditions with high flexibility.
  • Chainsaw Combination Helmet (EN 397 or EN 12492)
  • Chainsaw Trousers (EN 380-5. Minimum protection Type A-Class 1-20m/s) (Get Type C if you intend to progress to Chainsaw from Rope & Harness)
  • Gloves appropriate to the task
  • Chainsaw Protective Boots (BS EN ISO 20345: 2004-EN 381-3)
  • Personal first aid kit, including a large wound dressing.
  • Please bring insect repellent
  • Wednesday and Thursday Training days are at our woodland site near Port of Mentith. If there is a problem with transport please contact us prior to attending the course.

PPE must be CE Marked with chainsaw logo, in good condition and undamaged.
